This online tutorial covers the theoretical basis of the EKG, and introduction to EKG leads (standard, augmented and precordial), the parts of the EKG, cardiac depolarization and repolarization sequences, and more.
This site, developed by Nurse George, features a very easy-to-understand, friendly tutorial on EKGs - from cardiac anatomy and physiology, to descriptions of the different types of rhythms (sinus, atrial, junctional and ventricular). Also included is a section on cardiac drugs and an online quiz.
This is a great step-by-step tutorial, which includes an explanation of why the 12-lead is used and a mini-quiz after each section.
More resources will be added as we find them! If you have a great resource to add, let us know - e-mail kcsun3@yahoo.com with your suggestions.
